For the Love Of Christmas

christmas-poems

Trees decked with lights and beautiful ornaments;
Cherry cakes and ice cream all over;
Santa’s chariots dragged by reindeers,
Gifts strewn all over: here and there;
Cheer and happiness fill hearts and homes;
No room for sorrow or fear.

Trees decked with lights and beautiful ornaments;
Are the outward decorations reflective of the inward dispositions?
Do you have your own Christmas composition?
Is the reason for the season, self or Christ?
Do the parties glorify Him or satiate lustful souls and massage tired soles?

Trees decked with lights and beautiful ornaments;
Adorning heads with Santa caps;
Numerous dresses, glasses, and adverts;
What is Christmas really about?
What is a Merry Christmas?

Trees decked with lights and beautiful ornaments;
So much stress to impress;
Perfectionists most tiring period of the year;
Is it really worth it?
Would you ever be remembered after the season fades?

Trees decked with lights and beautiful ornaments;
Care and love should be spread all year long;
Not 2 days a darling, 363 days a meanie;
A cookie on Christmas day could make a difference;
But what of a prayer each of the 365 days?

Trees decked with lights and beautiful ornaments;
Whether you celebrate Christmas or not; Learn to be a concerned and empathetic fellow; Love all, pray for all or many; Live like you do on Christmas every day; That is when Christmas would really take on a meaning. Click To Tweet
